Grounds Access Pass Procedures
August 31, 2020 thru June 25, 2021
During the fall, winter, and spring seasons, Chautauqua Institution will continue to welcome all to the grounds, free of charge. Our safety protocols will remain in place. Important information regarding operations on the grounds beginning Aug. 31, 2020, includes:
GROUNDS ACCESS PASSES:
A free Grounds Access Pass (GAP) is required for every person entering the grounds, regardless of age or duration of stay. Keep in mind, the Main Gate Welcome Center building will not be open to the public so you must order your passes either via this *web store or by phone (Daily 9am-4pm, 716-357-6250, Option 5). All Grounds Access Passes will be valid from Mon. August 31, 2020 through Fri. June 25, 2021.
Please note: While the Ticket Office is working diligently to respond to all order requests for new passes, this process will take time and we ask for your patience and understanding. Over the coming days and weeks, our team will continue to issue passes in the order that requests are received. Due to this anticipated high volume of orders, a grace period will be observed for those unable to acquire a Grounds Access Pass before their summer season pass expires.
Once your order has been placed, you can receive your pass in the following ways:
- Email - Passes ordered in advance via this web store will be emailed to you as a PDF. This print-at-home pass should be presented by each guest when entering and exiting the grounds. (you may print it out or present on your mobile device for scanning)
- Curbside: Those who cannot print-at-home should, upon arrival, park in one of the numbered spaces behind the Main Gate Welcome Center. Although this building is not open to the public, you will be able to call inside and request curbside delivery. A member of our staff will bring the passes to your vehicle. Daily 9am-4pm, 716-357-6250, Option 5. (We can also email an electronic copy on request.)
Parking passes will not be required after Aug. 30, 2020, and summer assembly regulations regarding parking and limited access for construction, delivery and other vehicles will end. Due to resumed construction activity, vehicle movement around the grounds should be kept to a minimum. Parking space is very limited. Any visitors driving vehicles onto the grounds must leave all roads passable at all times. Visitors may also park for free in our Main Parking Lot, located directly across the road from our Main Gate Entrance on Route 394.
To begin the ordering process, please login or register by clicking Grounds Access Pass (GAP) here or using the navigation bar above.
*Online orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance of pass start time. If placing an order within 24 hours of pass start, please call the ticket office at 716-357-6250, option 5.
